Hello,
Has any one here installed a Taylor Anchorshade? I am wondering if there is any hardware that is included to attach it the front? Or does it require you to use an existing point (cleat, etc)?

Thanks.

Your best answer for this question is probably going to come directly from Taylormade. Call or email them.

Re: Taylor Anchorshade

I've used one for many years. No extra hardware except for the adjustable straps. My first boat happened to have midship cleats positioned just right for the front straps to loop over.
My next boat didn't, so I got 2 suction cups with hooks, about 3" diameter. I found they work fine as long as you wet them before applying to a flat part of the hull and don't pull too tight.
The current boat has bow rails that terminate near the base of the windshield. I loop the straps over them. It's a little harder to set up than the others but it's very secure.
Hope one of these options can work for you.

Great information, Thanks.
I don't have any midship cleats, but i was thinking of installing either cleats of fender locks. Where I was thinking of installing them, I don't think that it would be good for securing the shade. But i do have the suction cups, so that is a great idea.

I cut the hooks off a bungy cord and used them to secure the front straps to the bow rails, the rear straps connect to our stern cleats.

It was a great investment and does the job well!
