taper pin removal

1998 Johnson 115 cross flow 90 degree. I am rebuilding the powerhead and need some advice on how to remove/install the taper pins on the crankcase. Any help would be appreciated.<br />Thanks<br /><br />chris

Drive them forward to remove. The service manual should outline this and have a few helpful pics. You dont really need that tool.<br /><br />Remember when putting them back in - they are guides to assist in lining everything up. They are not nails.<br /><br />Good luck!
