Tall Ships

Anyone here sent their kid on a Tall Ship adventure? or maybe the neighbors kid went on one?

Rotary have made noises to us about sponsoring our "little gem" on a leadership building trip.
Still going to cost us a packet.
My immediate question was "is it to Brasil and back, going around the long way?", but unfortunately no.

Anyway, they wish us to decide if we think it 'a good idea' and we are 'prepared to pay the balance' before they approach him.

An opinion or two would be appreciated.

Personally, I reckon sending this bloke up a tall mast in a big gale, would give him a different attitude to his attitude.

They have a sail ship here that school kids apply to and do I think a 6 month term. There is always a long list to get on and the kids say its a life changing time for them. Sounds like a trip of a life time but is pricey.
