Ironic, but true. Shoes in China, clothes from all parts of the world. We don't build much anymore. It's a shame, but that's the way businesses work. We can't compete with the foreign cheap labor.

Agents and lawmakers are concerned about the consequences if the uniforms for agents charged with combating illegal immigration fall into the hands of criminals or terrorists.

Yeah, it's really difficult for those terrorists to make T-shirts and hats that say "Border Patrol" if they don't have a chance to smuggle some out of mexico.

well when ya look at that killer chebby pickum up they drive a lot the parts and the engines are hechen en mexico now as well <br /> gotta love the free market.<br /> maybe next we can allow them to manufacture the service weapons and ammunition, now that would be really ironic.<br /><br /> its a wonder none of the textile facilities here in NC could make them. oh wait, most moved to honduras .

The US Military went to Baretta M9/92 some 20 years ago. Replaced the Colt 1911.

Special Forces berets are made in China. 15% of our armed forces are Mexicans. The 9mm is a sad round to depend on your life. The 45. puts a much bigger hole in the bad guy.

its all about the money honey. seems the uniform contract was let to a US company that sublet it to a mexican one and the contractor just raked in the profits with no real bennies to the average joe american worker, the current admin has had 6 years to stop this practice and has done nothing.

You beat me to the beret thing.. <br /><br />On the hand gun thing ...15 years ago I would have argued with ya about that. I can kill anyone with a .22 cal or even a pencil. Brought down many a deer with a .22 (In the days when I needed to) <br />But in todays super drug world.. (crystal-meth) ??<br />My friends in law enforcement and the military in Irag tell me they don't want a 9mm in close quarters. It doesnt blow big enough holes to stop a guy 15-20 feet away.
