I just bought a new Glastron GX-185 :) and I am asking for some advise on how to keep it looking new when you don't have a garage. Well, I have a 1 car garage but the wife keeps her car in there!

I ordered a Hurricane cover and a strap kit, but I was wondring about a shelter. Northern has a 10' x 20' tarp canopy for $99 and I can get one of those metal carport shelters for around $550.

Is the Hurricane cover enough or should I opt for a canopy/shelter?

Any other new boat maintenance tips would be appreciated.

Nice boat. Either shelter would work. You want to keep the rain/snow out of the boat and keep it out of the sun.

Nice boat. Keeping it washed down, clean and waxed will help keep it looking that way. Always flush the engine with fresh water after running in salt. A good cover will protect most of the parts of the boat that need it. A garage is nice and will do a somewhat better job of protection but not necessarily essential. It all depends on how far you want to go with it.
