Take the boat off the trailer

I need to take my baot off the trailer for couple weeks for trailer maintenant. What is the best way to do that? I thought there is a thread on this already but could not find it.

BTW, my boat weight about 3500lbs. Am I crazy? Should I take it to the pro instead?

Ahoy, Mr T.<br /><br />Pretty big boat for this, but what I do is:<br /><br />1. Jack trailer up about 3". Shove boat back so it overhangs trailer about a foot.<br /><br />2. Place supports under stern. Lower trailer. Anchor boat so that it is fixed in place.<br /><br />3. Move trailer forward a few feet, add more supports.<br /><br />Repeat step 3 until trailer is free of the boat.<br /><br />Alternate: Launch boat and moor it at a safe place or a marina. Take the trailer home and fix it.<br /><br />Good luck.
