Take a look at my pistons and heads

Had a bad head gasket and am in the process of replacing them. This is one side I got taken off today. Not to thrilled with how 3 of the pistons and head side looks. What do you guys think??

Ayuh,.... You've been burnin' Water,... That's why those 3 are so Clean....

Any Cracks in the intake,..??
Where were the head gasket breaches,..??

ya was def burning water, lucky its fresh water cooled so it wasn't salt water. I do not know where the head gasket was leaking but after replacing the whole cooling system and still over heating I figured it had to be a head gasket. Heres a pic of the block right after I took the head off.

Ayuh,... guess ya didn't drain it Before pullin' the head,..??
that kinda blots out some of the forensic trails....

I don't see anything jumpin' outa yer picture,...
Drag the head to an Automotive Machine Shop, 'n have 'em go over it, lookin' for Cracks....

How come the Intake is still in-place,..??

How come the Intake is still in-place,..??

I had asked my marina to drain all the fluids when they winterized it as I was planning on doing head gaskets and/or pulling the motor. They didn't drain anything and I still had saltwater in my exhaust manifolds. So needless to say I won't be using them every again.

I'll pull the other head and have them both checked out.

The intake is still on cause the distributor clamp bolt is completely rusted on and did not want to be turned, that's todays project.

Ayuh,.... That motor is pretty much Junk, 'n needs to go to a Machine Shop, or get replaced with a long block...

Is that green antifreeze the -100 rv type antifreeze that is biodegradable.... or are you using the automotive antifreeze? But i agree with bondo... she's smoked.
