We are looking to purchase a Tahoe T16 and we were hoping to put it in our garage. Has anyone else done this? And does it fit?

Welcome to iBoats . . .

We don't know how big a garage you have. But the T16 is 16' 5" . . .add 2 feet at the stern for motor clearance and 4-6 feet at the bow for the trailer tongue and you've got in inside clearance requirement of 22.5 - 24.5 feet.

A 'standard' garage is about 24 feet on the outside and about 22.5' on the inside. Sounds like you are going to have to measure the boat/trailer and the garage to be sure.

A 'standard' 2-car garage might be 20', 22' or 24'. 24'4 is what may be more common

A tape measure would be the thing to use. Measure the inside length of the garage. Go measure the length of boat on the trailer (if you can). Also measure door width and height . . . same for the boat/trailer.

This might help . . .

if you are in florida, a standard 2-car garage can be as short as 18' and as long as 20' an "over-sized" 2-car garage is almost large enough to get a car in it.

however to the point. there is "NO SUCH THING AS STANDARD" when it comes to a 2-car garage and builders.

as indicated. take a tape measure and start measuring.

I swear, 75% of the questions here can be gleaned with a 5 second google.

According to tahoe's web site, under specifications, the specs for a T16 is:

Storage Length21' 5''
Storage Length W/Optional Swing-Away Tongue19'

By the way, the "standard" 2-car garage size in the olden days was 20x20. Subtract ~4" if its drywalled. Today, the "common" size is 24x24, but most new homes are built with a 3-car anyway.
