Tahatsu M9.8A Any parts out there? Old outboard

Hi everyone, I'm hoping someone can help me out regarding an old Tahatsu outboard from 1981. It's a M9.8A. My father who recently passed bought this motor and a fishing boat in 1981 when I was born and I grew up fishing on it and still do minus the motor. I'm restoring the boat and HOPEFULLY the motor for me and my new born son. The motor is in excellent shape just needs some work.

I need a fuel pump and carburetor or rebuild kits. (I was lucky enough to locate an impeller)

I've also learned that some parts from a b18d are interchangeable. Does anyone know if the carb and fuel pump from a b18d would work on my m98a? If so do you know where to locate these parts?

For old parts check boatsdotnet under Tohatsu, check 2003 year and under.

As I mentioned on that other site, you will not be getting much in the way of new parts, unless you get lucky and find something on a dusty back shelf -- and those bits will be pretty dried out. Best to retire that particular unit.
