Hello
In one of your previous topics you were suggesting us (newbies) that it's very important to have Tachometer & Water Temp. Gauges. So after reading that I have decided to buy the following:
Beede White Water Temp. Gauge. code:2997
Teleflex Blue Amega Series Tach. code:0636
from www.surplusunlimited.com
I have 1991 Mariner 75hp and I was wondering if the above gauges are compatible with my outboard.
Thanks million (your answers are appreciated)

Hi stemar

The gauges you selected will work, but they don't match cosmedically.(one is white, the other is black) There are better matched temp gauges. Be sure to check if the appropriate sender is also available for the temp gauge you select. Thats the part that installs on the engine and sends a signal to the gauge. It must be a match to the gauge.
:)

Check out Faria instruments http://www.faria-instruments.com/index-new.html I purchased a watertemp gauge that attaches to the cyl head bolt. No drilling to the engine. Very easy install. They have all types of gauge and styles. Check them out, give them a call. They are very helpful.

Stemar, I have (2) Faria 0 - 8000 RPM (black) tachs, (2) 20 ft. complete wiring harnesses, and 4 throttle/shift cables (20 ft.) that will fit your motor. All parts were new in 1996, and look like new now (used very little - got them as part of a motor deal).

E-mail me at seadawg007@hotmail.com if you are interested in hearing more, and I'll look up the part numbers.
