So I am looking to upgrade my gauge set the one I am looking at has a tach that comes with a sending unit on my VP 5.7 the tach comes off the ignition coil grey wire can I still connect this tach to my current set up?

Ayuh,..... Hard to tell, you haven't said what this tach is,......

  • Signal : Pulse
This is really the only info I have on the tach

Would need the manufacture of the gauge

That said, a auto/marine Tach doesn't use a sender, they all use the signal coming from the coil (gray wire)
