Look at the back of the gauges. Each gauge needs +12 volts with the ignition on, ground, and the "send" signal. If one gauge doesn't work the issue is likely isolated to that one gauge. If more than one gauge doesn't work, the problem is generally related to missing +12 volts and/or ground. A voltmeter is your friend here. But checking for loose 12v and and ground connections at each gauge should locate the problem (looking is not a check). Touching and tugging will identify loose connections. Corrosion is obvious. The letter "I" is the +12 volt terminal. The ground symbol or letter "G" is the ground terminal. The letter "L" is the internal light terminal but that has nothing to do with the gauge working or not. The letter "S" is the sender terminal. Send signals come from the fuel tank (gas gauge), engine (tachometer), trim system (trim gauge), engine (oil pressure), engine (water temp), etc.
