Does anyone know the part number for the tachometer wire that plugs into the base of the Mercury Control?

What Mercury control are you talking about? Is it a newer style or does it have MerControl on the side?

I just bought a 3 prong for a 79 part no 46239A1. Some have more prongs.

Yes the one I need is a three prong plug.<br /><br />The control has a blue stripe on the side and I think it says mercontrol (will have to check for sure).
