Tachometer problem

Newbie hereI.... have a 99' Glastron sx175 w/ volvo penta 43GL.. I have read several threads about tach problems and see that most of the cause is from a bad coil. My tach does not work at allSpeedo.... is okay but no tach. Now here comes a dumb questionWhere.... on the boat can I find this coil? Any other suggestions of what the problem might be? Thanks in advance for the responses.

Your coil sits next to the distributor cap and the single wire from the center of the cap goes to the coil. This link takes you to the tach page of the site listed above. Your speedometer has nothing whatsoever to do with your tach.
