Tachometer for 3.0 Merc, also exhaust parts

Hello all,<br />I need to replace a Tachometer for my boat with 1988 Mercruiser 3.0 engine. Can you please advise on what tach I need to get?<br /><br />As part of my preparation for fun days I will replace exhaust manifold and riser. My question is what other parts should I purchase that need to be replaced together with the manifold (gaskets, etc...) <br /><br />Thank you

Lenny,<br /><br />Your choice of Tach's. is wide open. Since your engine is basically a car engine, even automotive types will work. You'll just have to set the tach to (4-cyl.) on the back.<br /><br />Sounds like you have the manifold situation in hand. Check the attaching hoses and hardware as well. If they are more than a couple of years old, I would replace them.

Thanks Djohns.<br />How would I get information on what specific parts I need for the manifold job. <br />I want to buy all needed things and change them. <br />If someone could name the items that need to be changed it would help a lot. <br />I have this boat for 2 years and the last time manifold was changed is unknown to me.

Lenny-if you buy genuine Merc,the manifold comes with all gaskets,hardware,end caps.the riser comes with the bellows and clamp.part # for manifold is 806867a 8 and the one piece riser is part# 12076a2.we sell merc-if you want a price quote-email me !
