Hello,

I have a 1975 Johnson 135 HP (model:135ESL75)and I just got a car Tachometer which gas on the back a switch for 4,6,8 cylinders.
I'm wondering if I can use it. If yes, where should I connect the signal wire from the tachometer? I believe in the control box (PowerShift II) there is a grey wire (lead tach.) Is this the place where I should the wire?

Also, any ideas where I can buy a used power trim and tilt (the whole assembly) from a 135ETL75 motor (I want to install it on my motor)

Any answers will be greatly appreciated.

Bece

Re: Tachometer and Power Trim and Tilt

It might work from the tach lead but it will more than likely read 2 times the rpm, the car tach is made for 4 stroke engines that fire each cylider once per two crankshaft revolutions and the two stroke engine fires each cylider once per crankshaft revolution. hope this helps.
