My boat was down for the last 2 years and i had the motor pulled and many many things replaced on it. Thought the motor was locked up but turned out the starter was stuck and keeping it from cranking. Since it sat so long we had to replace many parts and when i got her back she runs fantastic but my tach doesn't work (and exhaust bellow wont stay on). The guy who did the work said he never even saw the wire that should run to the distributor and just thought i never had a working one. It worked before the boat went down but now doesn't. Any ideas on where to start? Boat is a bayliner 2050 ss 5.7l. I hate not having one as i don't wanna blow it up so never get on the throttle hard and my kids are griping lol.

tach is usually a grey wire that connects to the neg side of the coil
