Hello,
I'm running a 99 225 Johnson, and I took it out for the first time since I swapped my motor from what I had to this current motor. I noticed that just before my tach quit on me all together, it (the needle) would drop down when I would hit the dash mounted T&T switch, then go back to where it had been. Once it went south, I noticed my volt gauge went down as well. I'm sure this means my R/R is toast. I have another one, but before I put it in....why did the tach do this, and I'm sure fry my R/R?
Thanks,
Duke1
