Recently I had to replace my rectifier due to high voltage and the tach not working. That being done has apparently fixed my high voltage output problem, but I still have a problem with the tach. I replaced the tach with a new one similar to what was in there before (Teleflex) and it worked for about an hour and now it sits on 800 RPM and does nothing (checked all the connections to no avail).<br /><br />Also, after replacing the rectifier, I had it into a shop because according to my voltage gauge, I was still seeing high voltage. The shop tested everything and according to them, the entire charging system is OK, no problems. Is this likely a tach problem, or is there likely an electrical gremlin in my system now that I am going to have to ferret out?
