We're taking a week long trip down to Table Rock Lake this weekend, staying in Shell Knob and renting a slip at Campbell Point Marina. I've only been there a couple of times, so really dont know the lake that well. Does anyone out there have any suggestions on fun places to go or cool things to see on the water? Are there spots where lots of boats tie up? We're really not into the tying up with lots of boats and partying, but its always fun to idle by and check out the scenery.

I don't know that part of the lake very well (we usually stay up by cape fair on the james river arm), but I know people do tie up by the bluffs across from Aunts creek where there is a rope swing. Other then that I'm not going to be much help.

Re: Table Rock Lake in Mo

We rented a house for the week the first week of August. It was just south of the spillway and a couple of miles north of the Ark. line. The house overlooked Gages Marina on Long Creek. That part of the lake was really what we were looking for. It was pretty quiet from that area and to the south. The further north, the traffic really picked up and was really to busy for us to enjoy it in my small boat.

There were some pretty neat stuff to see though. North of us was the State Park, Big Cedar Lodge, and the spillway. There was a big paddle wheel boat in that area too (Branson Belle maybe?).

Overall, we had a pretty good time. Hoping we get a chance to go back next year.

Tablerock is pretty hard to beat if you have a lot of people going. They have enough stuff (with Branson close by) so that everybody can find something to do. We had 7 adults and 3 kids with us, and everybody came back home happy and exhausted.
