So, I put my prop on yesterday and when I applied the proper amount of torque, none of the tabs lined up so I could bend 3 of them. I could have backed off just a slight amount and then I would have been ok, but what I did instead was to start to remove the nut until the washer was free to spin. I then moved the washer alittle bit to compensate the difference when I tightened it up again. I had no problems doing it this way, so my question is this: do any of you people experience this? Also, could I have gotton away with just backing the nut up a tad so that I could bend the 3 tabs?

Re: tab washer

Either mothod same result. As long as the prop is on tight and the lock tabs are secure.

Every outdrive is just a bit differant but the main thing is to lock it on.

Bob
