Tab clearence issue help

Do i grind the clearence or just buy some kind of replacement?<br /><br />

I'd notch the tab. If you have power steering, you can cut it off altogether.

same as above .also the tab is also a sacraficial anode and you can buy other types to replace on another part of the lower unit

I notched mine, but only needed about 1/4 inch. I see Stevens pic and that looks great. I know Quicksilver has (had) one too that was only about half as thick as the (standard) one you are showing. Problem with that was that it was about half as effective. Seems Stevens pic unit solves that problem.<br /><br />Mark
