I have a 2003 235 sport fish Scout...The forward part of the of the "D"type tube up-rights at the welds are cracked.between the cross brace and up rights.has anyone had this problem/how was it repaired?? Thanks. Brad

Yup. I had to get it welded. Is yours SS or AL? Mine was AL. We also added a short piece of 1/4" aluminum flat bar on each side on a 45. Never had a problem after that.

Pretty common occurance on a boat that gets run hard. I have cracks in both support bar welds for 6 years now. Keep meaning to weld them...hasn't happened yet. At a minimum, drill a small hole on the end of each crack. If doing so stops further cracking, your good to go except for the cosmetics. If the crack continues to enlarge, you'll have to get it welded, and possibly braced to repair the damage
