Can I mix the two in my outboard or not?

I'm not planning on doing this regularly, but I had my wife pick me up some oil the other day and it was synthetic. I normally have been using non-synthetic, just curious if I need to return what she got or if I can use it without problems.

I have an 86 evinrude with a new VRO, if that makes a difference.

If both oils are tcw3 rated, you can mix them.

Sure, you can use it and you can mix it, but if you are not going to continue using it then take it back and use the extra money to buy fishing tackle. She probably paid four times as much as you need to.

Cool. It wasn't but maybe $4 more for the synthetic, so it isn't worth the gas to drive back.

They are the same brand and both TCW3.
