Synching a 2000 Mercruiser MPI 350 to NMEA

Hi all,
Anyone know a quick and easy way to know if an older Mercruiser can be connected to a NMEA network? I have a 2000 model MPI 350. I see on the Merc site that it doesnlt work with Vessel View, does that mean no module will work?

Thanks, but it looks like their gateways don't work with mercruisers.
