How can I sync the engines with the Tach's so both tachs and throttle handles are in line. Is this a "handyman" job or to be left to a mechanic.

You may be able to adjust the controls so they are close and tachs usually have an ajustment screw on the rear but how will you determine which tach is right and which is wrong. Without an automatic syncronizer the only other way is by ear.

Good freakin' luck. I have three boats that I've been trying to accomplish the same thing on for 2 seasons and I have had no luck getting the throttle to line up perfectly through the whole travel, so if you figure it out let me know how!!

You really cannot accurately "sync" the moters with the tach.. the scale is way too large having increments of 100 rpms...unless its a digital tack perhaps.

I have a synchroizer gauge on one of the boats, and the throttles still won't stay lined up through their whole travel. It has more to do with cable end play variances and tolerance stack than anything else, I suppose.
