I've got a 16' 2002 Sylvan Expedition, with the Mercury 60 Bigfoot EFI.
For cruising around the river, and fishing, I think it's been great.

It's really quite, accelerates good, starts instantly, and gets great fuel economy.
It's got a decent sized fuel tank at 24 gallons, power tilt/trim, and 2 livewells. Also came with a power outlet for a trolling motor, and is wired to a battery tray in a storage compartment up front.
It's got plenty of storage compartments which are all lockable.

A few aftermarket goodies it's got are, a CD player and speakers, an electric anchor, a trolling plate, a fish finder, a mount for my handheld GPS, and an extra seat (for 4 seats, they're are 6 places).

No question here. Just wanted to let y'all know I think this is a great boat. If anyone else has one, and has any positive or negitive feedback, I'd like to hear 'em.

Re: Sylvan Expedition 1600

I know this is an old thread but I'm hoping there are other people who know about this boat. I just bought a 2002 with a 2004 Honda 90. So far I like the boat but I'm wondering what other owner's experience is with this model. Also, does anyone know how much of a job it is to run a patch cord from a bow mounted trolling moor to the console mounted fish finder? Thanks.
