Hi, I just bought a 2002 Nissan NSF 30hp with manual start, I also have a 2002 Nissan NSF 25hp with both manual and electric start. I would like to switch over the electric system from the 25 to the 30 and sell the 25hp as a manual start. Is this in the realm of a do it yourself mechanic. Is it just a matter of pluck out here and it goes to the same spot there?
thanks

We need the actual model -- not year -- to help you much. The 4-stroke 25/30A has 3 carbs; the B has EFI.
If the 30 has a ring gear on the flywheel, the starter can be transplanted along with the bits for it. If not, you will also need to transplant the flywheel. Assuming you have the A models, that will be a lot less work than moving carbs.

Hi Paul,

Thanks for the reply, the 30hp is in transit I assumed it was an A because of the carbs in the picture . There are 2 pictures of my 25hp which is also an A.

Yes, Carbs are A version. Just transplant all the electric start parts and you will be good to go.
