have 83 merc 25 elect start. runs great for about 10 minutes then loses power to about 1/3 full speed. after cool down runs good for 10 minute then back to 1/3 power.
am about to replace switch box but would like to know if this is a switch box problem or stator problem. how hard to replace stator?
