hi
I have a 1990 90hp merc which starts fine and i have checked the timing which is ok. but when the engine revs around 3500 onwards it starts to misfire on all cylinders i know this by using the timing light to see if there is a charge sent to the plugs and at each of the plugs there is a problem. ive checked the spark advance which is also fine though i dont think this would cause no spark from all trigger coils im siding towards either the switchbox or the stator.
ive not used the engine out on the water as yet as i would like to resolve this first.

please help with your ideas

Re: switch box or stator at fault

It sounds like the high speed is out of the stator but heres the ign test
