Hi all

I have a centre window missing on my speedboat , it looks like there was one once as you can see the old rivet marks etc.. on the left hand edge.

Would like to get a replacement of the swing and shut type , any ideas where to get one ?

Or even any ideas from people who had the same problem ?

heres a pic so you can see what i mean .

Nice boat. I removed your image code....please resize to 640 x 480 for the forum.....

Well that center window needs to be tempered glass. I would visit a glass shop and have a piece of cardboard cut to the proper dimension and see if they can manufacture one. You will need the molding wide enough to accept rivets or screws on one side and a latching system on the other. Stainless steel piano style hinges are available on the internet. The frame around the glass just supports the hinge and the latch and the tempered glass provides the real strength.

No harm no foul on the pictures.....

Unless you got real lucky I think you will have to have that window made but, that appears to be a late model boat and you might try a dealer.

The Boat is pretty old , its just polishes up well , like me :D

I brought it cheap on ebay as my first Boat and a do it up project , so i am making it look good .. and solving teething problems etc.. Prior to getting into Boating more..

I reckoned best to dip my toe in on a small Boat and see if i like it then go bigger and bolder with them ..

I am going to try and get a centre swing Window but where i live in Mallorca everything Boating is expensive ..:( And they all swan around in 50k boats etc , so stuff for mine they just laugh at ..

Hence why i figured get the thing elsewhere if possible as well ..

Sharp looking boat. Looks good with the tower too. That's a tought one -- replacing a single panel out of a windshield. I'd make my first stop a dealer of that make and model if you can find one. I have a hunch you will end up needing a custom job, though.

Aluminum channel stock, some rubber, the right sized tempered glass and a length of stainless steel piano hinge. What could be simpler!

Also, it appears you have some tint on that glass. Something else to figure into the mix...

Good luck and let us know how it goes!
