Glad the poor cat didn't get into a prop. If it had gotten aboard I don't think it would have harmed anyone. . .they would all be in the water.

That a real stroke of luck to come across a cougar swimming in a body of water. You get a chance to actually safely see it for more than 2-3 secs which is probably the average viewing time of one...they are very, very elusive. I have been out in B.C parks and trails for years and I have never seen one but I'll bet a few may have seen me.
They should have kept a little better distance on that cat for its safety...I'm kind of surprised it latched onto the boat.
Very cool pics and video tho'....I watched it a few times....I love those big cats!!!

You don't want that! LOL! That has to be the understatement of the video! I have had swimming deer try to climb in the boat. I have had swimming snakes try to crawl in the boat. I have had swimming dogs try to climb in the boat. I have had a swimming turkey, well, he didn't climb, he was lifted, and then the fun began! But never a cat! WOW! Amazing! Thanks for sharing the video.

Not sure why the driver of the boat had to get so close to it. Very easily could have injured the animal.

I would like to think that if the cat got on the boat, he wouldn't be a jerk and maul everyone aboard. He might just be a bit grateful for the ride. Then again...we are made of meat....

ok after watching the entire video I have to admit that I was pulling for the Cougar to jump on board and then laugh my butt off as everyone on board jumped into the water..

They all sounded like a bunch of little school girls.

The line "he'll jump in the boat" as it was along side made me wonder what kind of desk jockeys these guys were.
Seriously, can any animal or person JUMP out of the water onto a moving boat?
Climb maybe, but keep 10 or 20 feet away and watch.

Most importantly DON'T SCREAM LIKE A LITTLE GIRL. How embarrassing.

I've drifted/passed swimming black bear several times.
They don't like it though if you get between mom and cub.
