Hello all. First time poster long time reader. Thanks for all your helpful info. My question is concerning fuel lines down stream of the fuel pump on an inboard engine. Are swagelok fittings along with stainless steel tubing a legal setup? Ive done quite a bit of digging and haven't really found an answer. Thanks in advance

Ayuh,.... Welcome Aboard,... How 'bout some back-story on yer question,..??

Both rubber lines, 'n metal lines are legal....

Swagelock fittings are more of a Hyd. line fitting...

Re: Swagelok fittings

Ive taken on a boat project thats finally nearing the end.....i think..... 1998 Larson SEI 186 that i got a pretty good deal on but later discovered i was overly optimistic on the condition of the boat. I knew the boat hadnt been winterized and both heads were busted but blinded by my optimism i thought surely some part of the engine was salvageable. Not so. Not even the accesories. From the starter to the fuel pump. Nothing. I went back with a 4.3 and added an edelbrock 4 bbl intake and carb. And replaced the floor. So i'm waaaay over budget on this thing and i have access to to a endless variety of swagelok fittings and hydraulic tubing that cost me nothing. I was just curious if such fittings were legal to use for marine fuel applications. I realize my savings are little but its more for my pride than anything i guess.

Ayuh,.... So bend up a new line in 3/8" tubin', 'n use automotive brake line fittings, as the threads should match yer carb...
