I am now looking at buying a 1994 150HP suzuki instead of a 1992 115HP Yamaha. This is to be used on my 19' Bayliner fishing machine currently being built. My concern is the serviceability of the Suzuki. we don't have a local dealer here. My friend says they are good motors but are they more expensive/troublesome to fix? I don't see a lot of threads on the Suzuki engine forum but I am not sure if this is because of the engines quality or the lack of use of Suzuki's.
I am also curious as to what the advantages are of a SS prop vs a standard aluminum one.

I would go with the one who you have a mechanic for it locally. That does not mean Suzuki's are bad engines, they are very well built machines.
You will need a mechanic at one point.

2m
The 150 Suzuki has just recently been placed out of production in favor of 4-strokes. The 150 would give you the best performance but the 115 Yammie would be the best for the long haul!
