Suzuki pwr. tilt/trim , Please Help!!!!!!!

I have a 1985 Suzuki DT75TC, I bought it used last year off a co-worker. Motor runs strong and hard except for a t/t problem, at slower speeds (25mph or lower) the t/t works no problem but at around 25mph to 45mph the t/t will not activate (on a rare occasion it will work) so I'll have to slow down to lower or raise motor. Anyone familiar with this problem???

It sounds like it needs to be bleed. Run the motor all the way up. You'll see two screws on the trim pump. Remove the top one and fill with trim fluid. Cycle the engine up and down about five times-recheck. May have to do this more than once.

When you say it will not acivate do you mean the trim motor doesn't run or that the motor doesn't tilt. Does the motor move down at speed and not up. This would help split your troubleshooting between electrical and hydraulic. <br />good luck

How do you adjust the trim up.Or is there an adjustment. How much throw is there supposed to be on trim up. I don't know anything about trim. I've been lifting motors for the last 20 years until now.I put a gps on the boat and it says 40mph on a 115. my 75hp used to 32. whats up with that? motor tilts way back down and about 90deg when on plane. How do you get it to go up more? It will only go to a certain point when on plane then ill slow down and itwill go up more. Aren't they supposed to be tilted up a little when on plane? Just a little help would be nice. First time here.
