Hi All<br />I have Suzuki 65 oil injection outboard which I have just tried to start after a year,It starts with lots of throttle but does not like to tick over,as it has not been started for this length of time I mixed oil with the petrol could this be the cause or is it a carb problem, any help gratefully received<br />Roger from England

I doubt seriously that the oil mix is your problem. I have used premix on top of my oil injection when testing the oil injection and besides the extra smoke it ran as usual.<br />- Are you using the year old gas? If so don't.<br />- It would not be unusual to need to rebuild the carbs after sitting a year. Gas often turns to varnish in the orifices and jets and requires a complete cleaning to remove. For the moment you might try screwing the air adjustment screw in 1/4 turn which reduces the amount of air bled into the idle mixture and see if that helps the idle.<br />- While you're at it, I would think about redoing the water pump. They don't like to sit still either.

roger,<br /><br />I have found the Mikuni carbs on those engines to be very sensitive.<br /><br />I believe you can get the high speed jets out without disassembly.
