suzuki oil light

I HAVE A 1998 SUZUKI 225 V6 OIL INJECTED ENGINE IN WICH THE OIL LIGHT IS BLINKING AND ALRM IS BEEPING AS WELL. THE MOTOR APEARS TO BE USING OIL, THERES SMOKE IN THE EXAUHST AND THE OIL LEVEL HAS DROPPED IN THE RESEVOIR. THE OIL LIGHT AND ALARM STILL BLINK AND BEEP WITH MOTOR TURNED OFF. ANY SUGGESTIONS

<br />So this is a guess. I think that the sensor pack is faulty,check the wires that go into the light and horn,trace them back to inside the engine and see if they go to a seperate pac that is tied into the oil sys.Unplug the wires and see if they stop blinking and beeping.As long as the oil is going down you<br />*should* be ok. Do get it fixed asap just in case.<br />corm

my 87 suzuki's have an oil flow sensor in the oil line from the tank to the oil pump. two wires, don't know the color codes. the oil tank needs to be removed (4 bolts) to gain access.
