Anyone out there converted an 85 or similar dt140 from oil injection to regular mix gas? if so/or not any good outcomes, anyone recommend this? I know some of the older merc vro's and such had bad reps, I don't seem to have an issue with this motor at the moment, seems pretty reliable, however if anyone has better info that could help me and perhaps others that may have similar questions out please feel free to let me know.

Suzuki has the best reputation for oiling systems. I run them no problem and reinstall them when I can. Keeping the oil clean and fresh is a must. I use Penzoil Synthetic Blend on all my motors without problems. To remove the oiling system you need to remove the pump drive shaft or the pump will be running dry and seize. To do that the pump must be removed. Because of accessibility on some motors the power head has to be pulled.
If its not broken don't fix it.
