Suzuki motor year identification

I need to find out the year of a suzuki outboard motor. It is a 85 hp. I think it is a mid 90's model.........the serial number is 8501-461268 or if someone might could recommend a website that would lead me in the general direction....thanks in advance

I know my 1988 Jason with a 75hp Suzuki was labeled a DT75 if that helps any.

Check the silver tag that on right side that mount to the boat it should start with some #...i had a 2004 suzuki DF40, the silver tag begin with 04Jk87..., if an 2009 then it will begin with 09....then some more number Hope it help..
