suzuki misses at load

got a 85mod dt140 that misses and stumbles at a few seconds intervals from 2000-4000rpm and sometimesbegins to die but picks up at once when i hit the throttel..worst when warm..ideling good .new plugs and correct timing. air leakes in fuel lines/pump? hope to get it fixedbefore my vacation... GOOD BOATING to you ALL :)

hope some of you guys can helpe me coz im getting kind of frustrated about the motor now..... it worked perfect last year but now...i also have checkt the trigg/stator coils:eek:k... :confused: :confused:

hi again.. cheked compression:eek:k..but a few waterpearls on the lowest plug..coud the exhaust cover gasket be broken???? :eek: but this motor shall NOT win over me...ill show that b******...he-he-he

You've checked the compression and you say its OK (what are the numbers)? You may have more than 1 issue here. The stumbling sounds like a mixture problem, could be gummed up carbs in need of a rebuild or an air leak like you suggested. Check all fuel hoses and connectors. Check the gaskets on the carbs etc. <br /><br />The water on the plug may be an early warning of leaking head gasket (even though the compression is good for now) or exhaust cover gasket.

thanks for reply. compression (top to bottom) are:130-135-143-143..cold. all plugs are light yello/broun no carbon..worst misses when trimmed all the way in.(down) most worried about water..saltwater destroys engines fast.. if it is the water who make the misses,coud this be exhaust/watergasket layout/leak related? good with a fora like this to discuss problems .

i have checked the exhaust cover..ok..tore of heads...ok..its the f*** lower crank sealing thats leaking!!! :( but i have found the problem then its just fixing it. well guys then i have some work to do..see you all later. bruuuuuum-bruuuuummm.. :D
