I have a Suzuki DT 75 early 80's. Yesterday the oil alarm started going off when preparing to launch the boat. The oil tank was about half full.
The alarm briefly went off when I played with the rubber bung of the level indicator on top of the tank.
I filled the oil deposit back to full but the alarm keep going off.
I disconnected the wire to shut the alarm up and marked the level of oil in the tank with a pen. After going out for the day the oil tank had dropped so its using oil but the alarm persists.
Also I noticed the oil gauge on the dash has stopped working.
Any ideas on what to do about this other than disconnecting the tank and premixxing the fuel?
Thanks
