Suzuki DT55 question

Hi everyone..

I've recently purchased a boat with a 55 horsepower Suzuki DT55. The motor runs fine but the pidler (not sure the exact name for it, its the little hole where water sprays out) doesn't always seem to be spraying out water. It's been recently serviced and the mechanic says everything is fine.

Should water always be spraying out and if so, always at the constant rate ?

Cheers
Kangaman

Water should definitely be coming out. Either the pisser is plugged or you need a new water pump impeller.

Re: Suzuki DT55 question

The pee hole on Suzuki's (and many other brands) are too small and get plugged easily. Take a small drill bit and drill the hole in the little plastic fitting out to a larger size. Blow it out acouple of times to clear the tube and get it the habit of FLUSHING your engine after use.
