Very little, if any, water exits the Pilot Water Hole of the 1988 Suzuki 4 H.P. motor at idle speed that is on a sailboat that I recently purchased. Disassembly and inspection of the water pump show it to be in fine condition, including impeller. Activating the pump with a cordless drill while placing the lower unit in a test tank show it to be functional but weak. Water does exit the Pilot when the engine is rev'd. Is this normal water circulation for this motor? If not, any suggestions?
