I know this is an old topic and the consensus seems to be to drill out the relief holes in the back of the engine. Has anyone tried this and do you have pictures? I just changed the water pump and have a new oil seal on order but (according to what I read) the relief holes my be the bigger issue.

it's the above mentioned oil seal for the impeller. leaks a tiny bit of air bubbles, rendering pump useless unless vented by taking off side cover.
