Well I checked out the carb more carefully as the replys I got to my previous post suggested and everything look clean. I took the fuel pump apart also to see if anything was wrong there but it was clean. There are no split hoses or leaks
(fuel or air) that I can see. One thing I did notice was that it doesn't seem to matter if the PILOT Jet was in the carb or not. This seems to control the amount of gas going to 3 little openings in the venturi area near the throttle valve. Anybody got anymore Ideas.
Thanks for responding. Paul

Re: Suzuki DT4 STILL won't Idle

Hi, Paul.

Those three little openings into the carb throat supply fuel for idling and low speed.

Your engine acts as though that system is plugged.

Don't look at the carb. Clean it, and blow pressured air through every passage, confirming that the air gets through. Check the tip of the needle you referred to as the "pilot", if it is blunted or broken the old tip may be jammed in the passage.

Do you have a manual? Did you put an ovehaul kit in the carb? Both would be a very good idea.

Let us know what you find. Do it as a reply to this post, not a new post. :)
