I have been working on my motor for a while and have gotten it running better but there are still some problems. When I open up the throttle the highest my rpms will go is 5500 at about 28mph. I used to be able to open it up and go about 45 or 50mph at maybe around 6000 rpms. It just doesn't feel like it is putting out as much power out as it should. It is 140 hp on a 17' center console proline. I think that I should be going faster than 28 mph. Also, while running at full throttle is will loose rpms for a while and then jump back up without me doing anything to the throttle. It especially bogs down if I hit big wake or chop. So far I have changed the impeller, put on a new water fuel seperator, made sure that my oil was being pump by checking the oil sensor. I also put in some new spark plugs that definately helped. Another bit of information about my motor is that when I flush it the rpms will fluctuate in neutral going anywhere from 500 rpms to 2000. It will also sneeze and sometimes eventually shut off. We have tried tooling around with the carb setting doing a turn and a half on each one. All in all it is sneezing, bogging down, and just feels like it isn't running on all cylenders. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

DOUBLE POST .........

Seems like your carbs isn't all that clean, do a proper carb rebuild and make sure all the high speed jets are clean, check that your thermostat are working properly and run fuel system cleaner with your fuel for at least 5 tanks .... also read up on how to sync the carbs (there should be alot of info on that here) ......... the bogging down when hitting a wake screams waterflow switch failure .... check that too .....
