Suzuki DT V6 rebuild- tool needed?

Any Suzuki guys that have done rebuilds on the DT V6 2 strokes? The manual says you need special tool cylinder alignment plate where the engine holder goes (under oil seal plate) . it gets torqued BEFORE the cylinders do, presumably to align the cylinders. has anyone done it without it, using the existing engine holder without the gasket just like the tool? id think you could fly cut it flat as possible and use it in place of the long gone tool. tool part # was 09912-68710.
