Suzuki DF25 - DF30 Question...

I bought a DF25 last year and was noticing in the specs that it is the same exact as the DF30. The only difference I saw was the prop size and RPM range. <br /><br />My question is: Is there some way to increase the speed to match the DF30? Is it just a matter of increasing the RPM's by adjusting the throttle linkage?

Howdy, Allstar.<br /><br />No, you can't make a DF30 out of a DF25 by making simple adjustments. You would need to change the camshaft, three pistons and probably the three carbs as well.<br /><br />It would be cheaper to trade your DF25 for a DF30, and you would be very disappointed in what little increase in performance you would get.<br />

my local dealer told me the carb is different on both models the compression and bore is the same
