my motor is a four stroke 2000 mod
motor nr 03001f-031372

I have destoyed the propeller with the result that the timing gear on the crankshaft has turn a littel bit, i think it is crimped on the shaft. The 3 exoswalve are also damaged but that is no problems, is there anyone who can tell me how to restore the timing gear back to its original position . The propeller shaft are also mounted in the timing gear with the spline. Do i need to buy a new crankshaft, or can i restore it. the motor have only ben used for two hours. thanks all .

Re: suzuki DF 30 problems

How do you know that the gear on the crankshaft has slipped? It may be that the chain has jumped one or more teeth on either the crank sprocket or the camshaft sprocket. I am assuming that you meant that 3 of the exhaust valves were bent because the valve timing is now off. Also you could check to see if the camshaft gear is still set correctly. The camshaft gear is attached with 3 bolts and a knock pin.
