Suzuki 60HP ----- What year?

Hi<br />I've just acquired a 14ft speedboat fitted with a Suzuki 60HP oil injection with electric start and power trim.<br />There are two sets of numbers stamped on the engine ---- C376 on the head and block and 302421 on a side plate. Would any one know what year this is? + can temp gauge and battery charge gauges be fitted to this engine? <br />Regards to all

Hello again Drummer!<br /><br />The Suzukis are a bit hard to determine the mfg years.<br /> http://www.marinshopen.se/guide/suzguide.htm <br />says (in swedish) the letter before the number:<br />1975=A, 1976=B, 1977=C, 1978=D, 1979=F<br /><br />The list below that information says the DT where made for two years: '83=QD and '84=VE.<br /><br />That is a bit strange.<br /><br />In the explanation (the DT8 in the picture) says the first digit tells the year; 0=1980 or 1990 or 2000, if it is a 2 mfg year is 1982 or 1992 or 2002 and so on.<br /><br />And the colour can tell you the decade:<br />Blue engine: 1980-1982 <br />Light grey engine: 1983-1988 <br />Grey engine: 1989-1996 års modell. <br /><br />Confused? Me too.

Go to www.brownspoint.com and look under the spare part section.<br /><br />The 60 hp 3 cyl. w oil injection came on the market 1983 and was produced up to around 1995.<br /><br />So it is no older than 1983 and as Bear says if it is silver it is from 1983 to 1990 from 1990 they where dark gray

Just went to www.brownspoint.com your motor is a 1983 the 60 hp 2 cyl was only made in 1983 and 1984 after that it was sold as a 65 hp and had 3 cyl.
